Halloween Treats Your Little Monsters Will Love

Halloween is just around the corner. I love getting crafty with my kids. Especially in the kitchen. There are so many yummy cute Halloween snacks out there to make. We narrowed it down to three of our favorites and then decided to make all three 😊.

Rice Krispy Treat Monsters

These little monsters were so fun to make.. and eat! My little human monsters had a blast making them. I kind of cheated on the rice krispy treats and just bought the already made ones. You can do this too or make your own. Here’s a list of what we used:

Box of rice krispy treats (already made and individually wrapped)
Candy eyeballs (various sizes)
Candy Melts (colors of your choice)
Wax Paper

Unwrap the desired amount of rice krispy treats and place them aside. Pour the candy melts in a bowl and microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted. If you are using different colors, place each color in a separate bowl. We used the colors orange, green and turquoise. Once your candy melts are good and melted, dip one end of the rice krispy treat in the icing until it is covered with desired amount. I usually shake off any excess icing to prevent a mess and to speed up hardening time. Place the frosted rice krispy treat on a piece of wax paper and apply the eyeballs however you like. The icing will hold the eyeballs in place as it hardens.

Ta-Da! Look at your cute little rice krispy monsters! Easy right?

Who is the genius that came up with this idea?! I just love these. So simple and absolutely adorable. All you need to make these are:

A bag of Hersheys Kisses
A package of Fudge Stripe Cookies
Tube of Icing (color of your choice)

Again, very simple and self-explanatory. Unwrap your desired amount of Hershey kisses. Remove the amount of cookies you want from the package. Place cookie striped side down. Outline the hole of the cookie with the colored icing you chose. Place the kiss over the hole into the icing so that the icing makes a trim around the bottom of the hersheys kiss. Bam! You have made a Witches Hat. Look at you go!

We love peanut butter in my house so these little scary ghosts didn’t last long. Items you need:

Package of Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Cookies
Candy Melts (white)
Black icing (or) candy eyeballs
Wax paper

Pour your white candy melts into a bowl and microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted. Be sure not to overheat. Once the melts are done, dip one end of the cookie into the icing. Place on a piece of wax paper. Use black icing or candy eyes to make the eyeballs. We did both as you can see in the picture. Again, genius whoever thought of these adorable ideas.

There you have it! Three super fun, yummy, easy and inexpensive treat ideas for your little goblins 😊.

Shoot me an email or comment if you try one or all these ideas! I would love to know how they turned out!

Happy Halloween!! Enjoy!!
